Laboratory Technician
Talentmark are recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to join a leading global food company on a contract basis for 2 months initially. This is a fully site-based role in Manchester.
Salary:
£12.96 per hour PAYE
Laboratory Technician Role:
- Complete routine analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams.
- Run calibration checks, preventive maintenance tasks, and simple repair to analytical instrumentation, maintaining customer specifications books up-to-date.
- Interpret and document results of tests into active databases and communicate results to internal customers as required.
- Conduct routine quantitative and qualitative inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process and final products independently, supporting more complex trials and experiments under intermediate supervision.
- Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under general supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Hold a relevant Scientific qualification or equivalent working experience
- Any experience working in a Laboratory would be an advantage.
- Ability to read, write and interpret documents including operating procedures, etc.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office.
