Talentmark are recruiting for a Health Economics Manager to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months.

Salary:

Paying between £35.08 – £46.77 per hour PAYE/Umbrella

Health Economics Manager Role:

  • Accountable for developing health economic strategy and delivering Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions to secure national access for medicines in the UK and Ireland.
  • Lead the end-to-end dossier development and submission process for NICE, SMC, AWMSG, NCPE and other HTA bodies.
  • Develop UK-specific health economic and HTA strategies for new medicines and line extensions.
  • Manage and collaborate with external market access agencies to deliver high-quality HTA submissions.
  • Partner with international Value & Access teams to develop and review economic models, SLRs and NMAs for UK applicability.
  • Represent the health economic case at appraisal meetings, responding to queries from HTA bodies.
  • Analyse competitor HTA submissions and generate insights to support cross-functional teams (Marketing, Medical, RWE).
  • Support development of health economic tools and materials to improve uptake with local payers.
  • Provide early strategic input into pipeline development through horizon scanning and early-phase support.
Your Background:

  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc or equivalent) in Health Economics or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of health economic evaluation methods including cost-effectiveness analysis and quality of life assessment.
  • Proven experience delivering HTA submissions to NICE, SMC or equivalent bodies.
  • Knowledge of the UK NHS and payer landscape.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience working with economic models and associated deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute within a cross-functional, matrix environment.
