Device Development Lead

are recruiting for a Device Development Lead

to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. This role is site based in Cambridge.

Salary:

From £34.42 ph PAYE to £63.63 ph via an umbrella company. Rate depending upon experience.

Device Development Lead Role:

• lead a multi-disciplinary project team in the development of drug delivery devices and life cycle management.
• To apply design control and risk management to all device projects.
• Provide input to supplier specifications for devices and device components.
• To provide input and support to human factors usability studies.
• Support the assessment of external design companies and suppliers for the capability of quality systems, facilities and procedures.

• Hold a relevant scientific/Engineering degree, or have equivalent working experience.
• Experience with principles of device design control, as well as knowledge of ISO13485, GMP, ISO14971, ISO62366.
• Knowledge of using risk assessment tools, including FMEA.
• Knowledge of human factors engineering.
• Previous experience in leading a team within the medical device industry.
