Development Chemist
Talentmark are recruiting for a Junior Development Chemist to join a manufacturer of materials for the printing and packaging industry based in Cheshire, on a full time, permanent basis. The company offers a salary of up to £27,000pa and a Monday-Thursday working week.
Please note that the ability to drive with own transport is essential due to the location of the site.
As a Junior Development Chemist, the main purpose of your role is to
work alongside a group of experienced chemists in the research, development, industrialisation and commercialization of our unique range of products.
Responsibilities of the Junior Development Chemist:
- Development of new coating formulations utilising the company’s patent protected technology
- Develop a high-level understanding of individual raw materials and their interactions
- Formulate aqueous, solvent based or UV-flexo coatings and evaluate performance
- Assist with quality control procedures and testing
- Work closely with the technical services and commercial teams and support as required
- A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Material Science, or related subject.
- Some formulation or laboratory experience (industrial placement, graduate role, or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident working in a lab environment
