Defect, Risk & Configuration Manager

Talentmark are recruiting for a Defect, Risk & Configuration Manager to join a company in the medical devices industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is fully site-based in Motherwell.

Salary: £21.97 - £24.52 per hour PAYE

In this role, you will own the defect management lifecycle, lead technical product risk assessments, and maintain strict configuration baselines in SAP across multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Defect Trackers, templates, and software configurations in RETINA .
• Collaborate with Test Managers and Product Care to track defect resolution, re-testing, and closure.
• Define defect KPIs, build dashboards, and write the Defect Management Plan and Summary Reports.
• Maintain Configuration Management Plans, reports, and instrument logbooks.
• Apply risk management processes to identify technical product risks (probability/severity).

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years in Defect Management, Technical Risk Management, or Systems Engineering.
• Experience with RETINA (or similar ALM/tracking tool) is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of SAP for configuration management.
