Account Manager (Nrthern Netherlands)
Account Manager – Medication Management Solutions (Northern Netherlands) | Remote We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a growing healthcare technology business specializing in medication management solutions for hospitals. This field-based role covers the Northern Netherlands and offers the opportunity to work with innovative technologies that improve patient safety, medication accuracy, and hospital efficiency.
Candidates should be based in the Northern Netherlands (ideally Amsterdam or further north).
The Role As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing hospital accounts. You'll work closely with pharmacy, nursing, procurement, and executive stakeholders to deliver complex healthcare technology solutions.
This is a consultative sales role involving long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and a project-based approach to account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within hospitals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Manage complex sales opportunities from initial engagement through implementation.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans.
- Achieve regional sales objectives and business growth targets.
- Collaborate with internal clinical, technical, and commercial teams.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline and account activity records.
- Support tender processes and procurement activities where applicable.
- Automated pharmacy dispensing and storage systems
- Automated medication dispensing cabinets
- Pharmacy workflow automation software and hardware
- Connected medication management solutions
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Business, or another relevant discipline.
- 2–5 years of healthcare sales experience, ideally selling into hospitals.
- Experience selling medical devices, healthcare technology, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, or other healthcare solutions.
- Proven success in consultative or solution selling.
- Strong understanding of hospital stakeholders and procurement processes.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Affinity for Healthcare IT, digital health, or clinical technology.
- Experience selling complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders is highly desirable.
- Tender experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Northern Netherlands.
